Home Desenzano del Garda The best beaches of Desenzano del Garda

The shores of Garda Lake in the southern part offer you various possibilities for a beach life; they are particularly appreciated for their organization but, above all, as a meeting point on Lake Garda. Among these centers, Desenzano represents a reference point for those who want to experience the lake at any time, from the morning sun to aperitif time, when clubs and cocktails pop up on the coast.

If you wonder which are the best beaches in Desenzano del Garda you have to know that the most beautiful here are also the most comfortable.

Desenzanino Beach

Close to the historic center of Desenzano (about 2 km from the station) and located at the end of a relaxing walk along the lakefront. In the same lido you can find both a free beach for those who love naturalistic environments and a equipped beach with toilets, showers, sun loungers and a restaurant.

The shore is made up of small pebbles (therefore shoes are needed) and is suitable for those who love relaxing landscapes, the calm waters of the lake and want a beach where there is a rescue service – in any case, for shallow waters it is ideal even for the little ones.

Spiaggia D’Oro Golden Beach

Here is a pet friendly beach, accessible for those who want to go to the lake with their dog, and for the ones that are also looking for a coastline equipped with a bar, restaurant, pedal boat and umbrella rental. The Golden Beach is always found in the town of Rivoltella not far from the village of Desenzano, and is above all a place for socializing. From the morning to the lake among clear waters, pebbles and ducks, until the evening when it turns into a disco pub, with evenings of music and DJ sets.

For this reason, the youngest consider it among the best beaches in Desenzano, easily accessible even for the nearby parking lots.

Porto Rivoltella Beach

Not far from Desenzano, this pebble coast is equipped for the rental of sun beds and umbrellas, but above all it has facilities for those who want to practice water sports on Lake Garda.

The beach of Porto Rivoltella is also very popular in the evening, when evenings of music and dance are organized on the pedestrian lakefront – from Latin American to smooth, to include every style.

Feltrinelli Beach

You can find it in the center of Desenzano, full of gravel and with a long pier from which to dive, on the Cesare Battisti lakeside. Small but accessible to all as a free beach, it is equipped with sun loungers, deck chairs and umbrellas and a pedal boat and canoe rental service.

Very popular due to the ease of being reached on foot walking along the Garda, especially by young people; it is located at the end of the main road that connects the upper part of the town to the one overlooking the lake.

Canneti Beach

This beach is a historical reference as a beach for nudists and gays in Desenzano sul Garda, with an evocative landscape among the white rocks that emerge from the lake.

Going along the lakeside towards Salò, you reach the campsite first and then this beach, which you can reach on foot. In this area there are two beaches from Eden, known for years as a meeting place for the gay world of the Garda lakefront.

The nearby campsite allows you to enter a beach within a park and offers a green path not far from the Canneti beach.

Madonna della Villa Beach

Among the best beaches in Desenzano del Garda, or rather in the locality of Rivoltella, there is this small stone beach below a chapel known as the Madonna della Villa, which houses a medieval statue of Mary.

The coast here reserves a splendid view of the lake, which includes Sirmione, Monte Baldo and the Brescian mountains. It is a beach with free access, a place of passage on the lakefront not particularly equipped but well liked by those who love natural and almost “unexpected” places.

This stretch of the rocky lakefront is also known as the Cesolina beach, where the spectacular panoramic view continues.

Lario Beach

Here we find ourselves in front of a tiny but very popular portion of the coast, formed by pebbles and with a tree-lined garden above. The beach of Desenzano del Garda in via Lario is perfect for a relaxing stop during a walk along the city lakefront, perhaps for a picnic as it has tables and benches on which to stop.
